Accessibility statement for the VELO DE VILLE

Website status of the statement: 1 October 20

1. Scope of this statement

This accessibility statement applies to the website of VELO DE VILLE / AT Zweirad GmbH at the address: www.velo-de-ville.com

2. Status of compliance with requirements

The website is currently partially compliant with the requirements of Directive (EU) 2016/2102 in conjunction with the Barrier-Free Information Technology Ordinance (BITV 2.0).

The basis for this is the international standard WCAG 2.1 – conformity level AA.

3. NNon-accessible content

Despite intensive efforts, barriers may still occur on our website:

  • Some images and icons do not have complete or clear alternative texts

  • Some colour contrasts do not meet the recommended minimum values

  • Some semantic structural elements (e.g. correct heading hierarchies) for screen readers are missing

We are actively working to gradually remove these restrictions.

4. Reasons for existing barriers

The existing barriers result in part from older system components or design decisions that could not be implemented in a fully accessible manner at the time of development.

A relaunch that takes current accessibility standards into account is in preparation.

5. Measures to improve accessibility

  • Introduction of an accessible design system for future updates
  • Training of our developers and content teams

  • Planned implementation of an internal BITV test in the first quarter of 2026

  • User feedback as a central element for continuous optimisation

6. Creation of this statement

This statement was created on 1 October 2025 on the basis of a self-assessment.

An external review is planned for Q1 2026.
