Terms and conditions for the VELO DE VILLE charity campaign ‘60 years – 60 FR8s for a good cause’
1. Organizer
The
organizer of the campaign is:

2. Eligibility
Participation is open exclusively to non-profit organizations, associations, social institutions, or public bodies that intend to use the provided cargo bike for purposes that benefit the common good.
Examples of eligible participants include:
- Daycare centers & children's homes
- Family centers, multigenerational houses
- Youth welfare institutions
- Food banks, soup kitchens, homeless support services
- Animal shelters & environmental initiatives
- Inclusion enterprises, support for people with disabilities
- Neighborhood projects, local community support
- Educational institutions such as zoos or wildlife parks
Private individuals, purely commercial companies, and political or religious organizations are excluded from participation.
3. Application Period
Applications
can be submitted from January 5, 2026, to January 31, 2026.
Applications received after this period cannot be considered.
4. Application and Selection Process
Applications
must be submitted online via the campaign page:
www.velo-de-ville.com/60FR8
To be considered valid, applications must include:
- Name and brief description of the organization
- Reason why the VELO DE VILLE FR8 is needed
- Planned area of use for the cargo bike
- Desired configuration of the FR8 or alternatively its VELO ID
- Contact details of a representative
- Can a donation receipt be issued? Yes / Yes via supporting association / No
Optional:
- Images, videos, or social media links
- A preferred color can be specified in the application form
The 60 projects will be selected at random.
5. Announcement and Delivery
The selected
projects will be announced in February 2026.
Winners will be notified by email and published on VELO DE VILLE’s channels.
Delivery of the 60 FR8 cargo bikes will be arranged individually between March
and June 2026.
By
participating, applicants agree to be part of communication activities related
to the campaign.
VELO DE VILLE reserves the right to present selected winning projects via
social media posts, storytelling formats, videos, or press coverage.
Organizations will be contacted beforehand and may approve or decline the specific use of any photo or video material in accordance with legal regulations.
6. Equipment and Customization of the Cargo Bikes
The VELO DE VILLE FR8 cargo bikes provided can be equipped specifically for social use, including:
- Bench seat with seat belts
- Rain cover
- Additional accessories (e.g. weather protection, transport solutions)
- BOSCH motor and durable components
- Sustainable quality, handcrafted in Germany
An idea for branding may be submitted in the application form, but there is no guarantee of implementation.
7. Exclusion & Reservations
VELO DE
VILLE reserves the right to exclude applications with incomplete information,
unsuitable usage purposes, or false data without notification.
The campaign may be terminated, extended, or adjusted at any time for important
reasons, e.g., force majeure, legal changes, or technical issues.
8. Data Protection
Data
submitted as part of the application will be used solely for the purpose of
executing and handling the campaign.

9. Legal Recourse
Legal
recourse is excluded.
There is no cash payment, exchange, or transfer of the cargo bikes.
