Shimano Nexus 5-speed now approved for 120 Nm

Good news for all customers with Shimano Nexus 5-speed hub gears and the latest Bosch Performance Line CX drive: Shimano has officially approved the Nexus 5-speed for a maximum torque of 120 Nm.

This means our AEB, SEB, KEB, FEB and LOADY models can now utilize the full power of the current Bosch CX motor. Previously, this combination was limited to 100 Nm. After installing the corresponding Bosch software update, the full 120 Nm is now available.

Of particular interest to you: The approval also applies to vehicles already delivered with the Nexus 5-speed and the current CX generation. Activation is straightforward following an update to the Bosch Flow app and can be performed by the end customer themselves.
