Energy audit 2024

Sustainability means not only resource-saving products, but also efficient processes. That is why we had a comprehensive energy audit carried out in 2024 in accordance with DIN EN 16247-1:2022 – successfully verified by BAFA-certified energy auditors.

Why an energy audit?

The goal was clear: we wanted to know how efficiently we use energy – especially in the areas of heating, lighting, compressed air and process technology. To this end, all relevant processes were recorded in detail and analysed in depth.

Thanks to our existing environmental management system in accordance with ISO 14001, we already had a solid data basis, for example in the form of energy balances and climate balances. In addition to this, detailed load profile analyses were carried out and energy flows and energy distributions were determined, among other things.

Results: Where do we stand?

The analysis shows that VELO DE VILLE is highly committed to energy efficiency and is already performing at a high level. Nevertheless, there is always room for optimisation. We were able to implement ten minor measures immediately, including more efficient lighting control, targeted employee training and optimised control of air conditioning systems, both in the production areas and in the server rooms.

In addition, three larger measures were recommended to us. We are currently weighing these up carefully, as they could not only increase energy efficiency but also have a negative impact on material consumption and waste.
